Lingerfeldt Elementary is an Innovation School in Gaston County Schools with a focus on using clear strategies and strong purpose to boost student success. Students receive extra instructional support, and teachers take on advanced roles to help students achieve at a higher level.

Thanks to our partnership with Kintegra Health, we offer a telehealth clinic here at our school. Students, who are experiencing a minor illness or condition, can be seen by a medical provider virtually.

The Board of Education will meet on Monday, August 17, at 5:30 p.m. at the Gaston County Schools Central Office, 943 Osceola Street, Gastonia. The public is invited to attend. The school supply list for the 2026–2027 school year is now available. Families can view the list by grade level.
Is your child planning to ride the bus this school year? Now is the time to sign up for bus transportation for the 2026-2027 school year. Families should complete the transportation request form as soon as possible to help us plan safe and efficient bus routes.
Gaston County Schools announces administrative leadership changes for the 2026-2027 school year.
Teachers are encouraged to participate in the Ron L. Ensley grants program. Click here to complete the online application. The grants are presented by the Gaston County Education Foundation as a way to fund innovative classroom lessons and projects. The application deadline is Sunday, September 14.

After School Program
Our A.S.P.I.R.E. program works closely with principals, teachers, and support staff to provide quality extended learning time that supports each school’s goals and student success.
Clubs and Activities
Students have opportunities to lead and learn beyond the classroom. They can take part in programs such as Safety Patrol, Math Masters, Battle of the Books and Robotics.
A Place to Learn and Create
At Lingerfeldt Elementary, students explore their creativity through art by drawing, painting and working on projects that allow them to express themselves and have fun while learning.
