About Us

Lingerfeldt Elementary is proud to be one of just 10 Innovation Schools in Gaston County for this school year. As an Innovation School, we focus on strategy, purpose and energy to improve student learning. Our school benefits from extra instructional support and advanced teacher roles to help every child succeed.

At Lingerfeldt, we believe in helping every child grow academically, creatively and socially. Students are encouraged to express themselves through the arts, with opportunities to participate in both dance and visual art classes.

To support academic success, we offer tutoring during the school day and after school. Students receive help in reading and math, and fifth grade students can also get extra support in science. Our A.S.P.I.R.E. program provides additional enrichment and learning after school hours.

We are proud to offer leadership opportunities through our popular Safety Patrol program. Students take on responsibility and learn to lead by example, helping to create a respectful and supportive school environment.

Our diverse staff includes international teachers who bring global perspectives into the classroom. Through these connections, students learn about different cultures and languages, building a greater understanding of the world around them.
